About the Journal
By virtue of the letter of His Excellency the Vice-Rector of King Saud University, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khuwaiter, may God have mercy on him, dated 5/9/1391 AH corresponding to October 24, 1971 AD, the system of the Saudi Geographical Society was approved and its founder, the first geographic pioneer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Asaad Suleiman Abdo, was appointed as its president. By virtue of the letter of the Vice-Rector of the University No. 4636/1 dated 6/11/1391 AH corresponding to December 23, 1971 AD, the formation of the administrative body of the Saudi Geographical Society was approved, headed by His Excellency its President himself. Accordingly, the Society became an independent entity with a legal personality, and its President directly writes official letters to the university administration and to any party outside it.
